They say that dreams are meant to be lived. If that is true, then some small part of my own dreams has manifested itself in a quaint little corner of Jalan Telawi 5, Bangsar Baru.
Like all dreams, Trés Chic is an amalgamation of all the things one woman believed should come together to make for the perfect ‘boutique’ experience. In my own mind, the corner stone to any outfit a woman wears should be the garments unique ability to enhance and accentuate facets of her own personality. It is why men will never understand our incessant need for an entire wardrobe of bags and shoes. Each piece can only fulfill one aspect of our fathomless personalities.
Thus, armed with this ideal, Trés Chic was forged to cater to the tastes of the strong and independent woman of today. “Trés” means “very” in French. And I think we all know “Chic” means “to be fashionable, hot and trendy”. My own journey to find the pieces that fit this profile has led to almost our entire stock to be comprised of pieces from the USA and Spain, where the concept of “Chic” was invented. It is these designs that have the unique ability to exude almost boundless energy while quietly whispering of the sexy, confident woman whose curves it clings to.
From the cocktail or evening dress for that special night, the classic ‘little black dress’ or the trendiest animal prints, to the casual pants and miniskirts, our one pledge to you is this: you won’t find more than 1 other piece in that size on our shelves despite the demand. Contrary to popular belief, not everything is run by market forces. Our ideals are one of those things.
